FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John is reminding residents that wrapping paper can’t be recycled, but you can recycle your real Christmas tree.
Christmas wrapping paper, bags, ribbons and bows are garbage and can’t be recycled in Fort St. John. For those with a real tree, you can drop off your tree to be recycled from January 4 to 15. The drop-off location will be at the green-space between the N.P. Museum and Parkour Park in Centennial Park.
You will need to remove all decorations, tinsel and plastic bags before you drop off your tree. The City will use the trees for the High on Ice Winter Festival before they are composted.
