DiRT 5 Teams Up With CALM to Support Suicide Prevention

Wednesday, December 16, 2020 Codemasters and Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a suicide prevention charity, have collaborated to support mental wellbeing amongst the racing community in DiRT 5. The in-game initiative was launched this week as part of Update 2.00. Players can now grab a free CALM liveried Porsche 924 Carrera GTS Rallye in the Classic Rally class. The car carries the message “Got Your Back, No Matter What.” The partnership is to remind players that it’s never good to bottle up their feelings and keep things to themselves. Update 2.00 for racing game adds new features and fixes Posted on Codemasters have announced the release of first major update for DIRT 5. The update brings wheel support across all platforms, and other bug fixes and optimizations. Included in the update is the Snow Limits pack, which contains an array of festive new objects to use in DIRT 5 s Playgrounds mode, a brand new Sprint race event on the ice at Roosevelt Island, and some customization options for your profile and liveries including holiday liveries for the Ford Mustang GT4 and Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia. Most modern wheel devices are supported, including the latest range from Logitech and Thrustmaster. Alongside PC, the update adds wheel support for console, and all compatible Xbox One and PS4 peripherals are now functional across their next-generation counterparts. The Snow Limits content is included at no cost to DIRT 5 players.

Codemasters Adds Wheel Support and New Content to DIRT 5 Codemasters has announced that DIRT 5 will finally be receiving wheel support across all platforms. Most modern wheels will be supported including the latest from Logitech and Thrustmaster. The game will also receive improvements to matchmaking along with other bug fixes and optimizations in its first major update. Included with this update is the Snow Limits pack. This will include new items to use in DIRT Playgrounds along with a new Sprint Race event on the ice at Roosevelt Island. Holiday liveries are also being included for the Ford Mustang GT4 and the Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia. The Snow Limits pack will be free for everyone. 15/12/201 DIRT 5’s first major update is rolling out this week, with version 2.00 bringing with it wheel support across PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms and a free ‘Snow Limits’ content pack for all players. The update is available today for PC via Steam, but will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S “in the coming days”. – ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW – The Snow Limits pack includes New Playgrounds items, new liveries, new Ice Breaker circuit, new customisation items and the option for Snowy conditions in Playgrounds mode. Meanwhile, as previously revealed, wheel support will include Thrustmaster, Logitech and a subset of Fanatec devices, with support largely following that of 2019’s GRID.
