Sign Up A woman has recalled an “extreme” relationship with a market trader accused of sexual and physical abuse. The 48-year-old alleged Kim Avis could go from “affectionate” to “angry” and that “not very much” could get him annoyed. She also claimed Avis wanted sex with her when she did not want to. The 57-year-old accused is on trial at the High Court in Glasgow, where he denies 16 charges spanning between between January 1997 and March 2019. Nine charges were withdrawn by the prosecutor on Friday.

The witness said the “trigger” of her eventually going to the police was when Avis made accusations against her on social media. But, she denied an allegation being motivated by money. Avis is on trial at the High Court in Glasgow, where he denies 25 charges spanning between January 1997 and March 2019.

Sign Up A woman told a jury that a man tried to rape her and then joked about it. The 22-year-old claimed Kim Avis attacked her when she was 12 at a property near Inverness. The girl told prosecutor Graeme Jessop that she believed Avis treated it “like a game”. She stated that she was given a massage by Avis who then got on top of her. The woman claimed Avis performed a sex act on himself and stated he spoke to her in a “joking sense” after it.
