KATHMANDU, May 15 (Xinhua) These are not good days for stray animals in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, as restrictive measures in place since late April have been extended for two more weeks until later this month to help curb COVID-19 infections. There is, however, no shortage of activists to care for and feed the animals during the hard times.
With millions of people being urged to stay at home, thousands of street animals have been cut off from their main sources of food, as eateries, restaurants, hotels and even butcher shops are being shuttered now.
