SMYRNA – Council Member Gerry Short announced today that he will run for re-election to continue work on revitalizing downtown, expanding parks and recreation, improving transportation, and managing growth.
“I would like to continue the projects we have underway, such as the expansion of the wastewater treatment plant, completion of the widening of Jefferson Pike to SR-840, the second expansion of Cedar Stone Park, and the continued improvement of the Downtown Depot district,” .
(SMYRNA TN) Residents in the Town of Smyrna will soon have high-speed internet. City officials and an industry leader in high- speed internet will finalize a deal, bringing gigabit speed internet service to Smyrna.
Smyrna will be the first city in Tennessee, outside of Nashville, to have this service in the community.
