A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) head constable was arrested for smoking a beedi in the restroom of a Kolkata-Bengaluru flight. The cabin crew became aware of a burning smell and investigated, finding the constable to be the culprit. He was designated as an unruly passenger and handed over to security officials upon landing.
A flyer was detained at the Bengaluru airport on Tuesday for smoking mid-air on an Akasa Air flight from Ahmedabad. He was handed over to the police upon landing in Bengaluru, an Akasa Air spokesperson said.
An unruly passenger flying on an Air India London-Mumbai flight was tied up on his seat for allegedly smoking in the aircraft toilet, misbehaving with passengers, attempting to yank open the door mid-air, and finally landed in the arms of the Mumbai Police, officials said here on Sunday.
The Air India flight crew members had to restrain the passengers after he started creating a ruckus on the flight and tried to open the aircraft s door when he was not allowed to smoke.
