James Webb spotted a bright light in a galaxy far, far away that astronomers speculate is a supernova because it does not appear in an image of the galaxy snapped by the Hubble in 2011.
The galaxy, called GLASS-z13 (GN-z13), formed just 300 million years after the Big Bang. The previous record holder was GN-z11 that dates back 400 million years after the universe birthed.
