Nate Monroe: Amid JEA grand jury probe, Melissa Dykes conspicuously absent

COMMENTARY | A Jacksonville law firm that represented former high-level JEA executives involved in the controversial 2019 effort to privatize the agency which is now the subject of a federal grand jury investigation has in recent days sent several public records requests to the utility, seeking financial information dating as far back as 2014 as well as more recent documents tied to the botched privatization effort. One of those former JEA executives, ex-chief operating officer Melissa Dykes, said one year ago, during an April meeting at which the board of directors fired her without cause, that she was willing to cooperate with the FBI and U.S. Attorney s Office.
