유망 스튜디오 댓츠노문와 맞손… 라오어2 , 언차티드 등 개발진 설립
[아이뉴스24 문영수 기자] 스마일게이트 그룹이 미국 개발사 댓츠노문(That`s no Moon)에 약 1억달러(약 1천200억원)의 전략적 투자를 단행했다고 29일 발표했다.
댓츠노문은 라스트 오브 어스2 , 고스트 오브 쓰시마 , 데스 스트랜딩 , 갓 오브 워 , 언차티드 시리즈 등 히트작에 참여한 마이클 뭄바우어(Michael Mumbauer)를 비롯한 핵심 개발진이 설립한 개발사다.
이번 계약으로 양사는 댓츠노문의 개발 역량을 바탕으로 한 트리플A(AAA) 급 액션 어드벤처 장르의 신작 게임을 개발할 예정이다. 댓츠노문은 현재 개발 인력을 확충하며 신작 개발을 위한 R&D와 콘셉트 구성 작업에 착수했다.
