and a reminder tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. is our debate. i ll be back tomorrow at the same time, but for now, jim costa is next. nice to see you in person. this doesn t happen very often, but nice to see you. i m jim aacosta. let s get you up to speed on this november 21st. after months of talks the congressional supercommittee is expected to announce today it simply cannot agree on a debt reduction package. everybody is pointing fingers on what caused the mess. we ll explain that on capitol hill in about ten minutes. speaking of the supercommittee, already markets are reacting badly to fears that the debt committee won t reach a deal. u.s. stocks opened sharply lower today. right now the dow is down over 300 points. this follows last week s losses on wall street, the worse in two months. former fbi director, louis freeh, will lead the internal investigation into the penn state scandal. jerry sandusky is charged with molesting eight boys, some on campus. freeh pledged a
reason. i say it s a combination of a lot of things. hold on. reporter: maybe it s her other medicines or maybe just good luck, but villarreal doesn t want to change a treatment that seems to be working. so, it s going to be two years with my daughter. to me, that s kind of priceless. smile big for mama. again, i will willingly take whatever i can get to give me more time with my family. happy birthday to you don, if the fda takes away approval, the drug will still be on the market for other cancers, so doctors can still frib to breast cancer patients but here s the catch. insurance companies may say, hey, if the food and drug administration hasn t approved this for breast cancer, we re not paying for it, and, of course most patients can t
certainly when the economy is appropriate and the price of oil s appropriate, people will be motivated to do so. it costs a lot to drill wells in this area. and the size of the reservoir is not that big. and so, they will do this cautiously and make sure that it s economic. they have lost a significant amount of oil from that reservoir. but there still should be somewhere on the order of 80 to 125 million barrels of oil there. and that seems like a lot of oil, but these wells are very expensive to drill and also to produce the oil. in other words get the oil out of the ground and get it to pipelines. hmm, so that s interesting, so there is a chance that this could be it for that well? yes. from what i understand, they re not going to do anything with this well. but they could drill another well in the future. they could also sell this property to other parties,

you look gorgeous. are you excited? so am i. reporter: senior year a special one for high school students. for 19-year-old kaitlin simpson turning out to be one she never dreamed possible. smile big. reporter: kaitlin has down syndrome. that didn t stop one of her long time friends from nominating her for the high school owner of senior homecoming maid. approved it through the principal and had to get a petition. over half the faculty signed, kaitlin deserved as a senior to be in homecoming court. when students do something like that, something good, it gives you a warm feeling. reporter: seniors at northwest voted kaitlin on to the court. kaitlin simpson.
