MSME Payments: A delegation of the medium, small and micro enterprises (MSMEs) met union minister Som Parkash to oppose Section 43B of the Income Tax Act which makes it mandatory for buyers to release the payment within 45 days of purchase of goods. They urged the commerce and industry minister to either withdraw the new rule or include every assessee of income tax including manufacturer, trader and exporter under this section and extend the time period up to 90 days.
MSME Dept: MSME department has applied for transfer of over 20 hectare land in Burhanpur for developing a new industrial area. Textile and food processing industries have shown keen interest in opening up industries in Burhanpur district.
MSME Sector: Expressing his satisfaction with the summit, he remarked, "It feels to good to participate in Vibrant Gujarat Summit. A conducive environment for industry and investment has formed in Gujarat. The state government has played a positive role in infrastructure and in supporting the industry sector. Gujarat can become a model of development and industrial growth."
