On June 11, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 400 block of South Walnut in La Monte for a report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies gathered information and an investigation is ongoing.
On June 9 around 4:15 p.m., a deputy on patrol in the area of Smasal Road and Highway U located a white VW Touareg parked along Garrett and Smasal Road facing north in the roadway, causing a traffic hazard. The vehicle had two different license plates. The deputy ran the plates and neither checked back to the VW. Dispatch ran the VIN and the registered owner was contacted. The owner said they sold the vehicle and were not aware of who owned it now. Don s Towing was called and the VW was removed from the scene.
