Barry goldwater in 1960 felt the conservative movement and the Republican Party had been compromised at that time by the new deal and felt there need to be a manifesto or blueprint for conservatives to follow and he wrote the conscious of a conservative at that time. This book that i wrote is very much in homage to senator
