security issues in the world have moved to that region. not strategically as what is happening to us. we fought four conflicts as a result of this. two in iraq. and the second one in iraq lasted seven, eight years. we had a conflict in somalia, small contingency operation. now a protracted war, almost 10 years in afghanistan. we know for a fact, this struggle with radical islam and what it portends for us in that region is going to involve us for years and years to come. what frustrate that is most of the country s in that countries in that region are authoritarian regimes that have a fair amount of repression in their government which exacerbates this challenge. there s only one arab muslim country that elects it government that happens to be iraq. the irony of that that s all recent. these challenges are right in front of us. i think what we are seeing now
