The company in question, Phillips Carbon Black, performed in line with the hype witnessed during the March quarter, and that beat analyst estimates by wide margins. The company management’s outlook for the business was mostly positive. March quarter profit increased 76 per cent year-on-year to Rs 127 crore, thanks to steady volume growth, auto sector revival and rise in exports.
