The roof of a car, as well as its passenger and driver doors, had to be ripped open Wednesday morning to free a man trapped inside.
The Unionville Volunteer Fire Company and Slippery Rock Fire Company responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash on Route 528 near Staff Road early Wednesday morning. According to Nathan Wulff, deputy chief of the Unionville company, the car left the road for an unknown reason causing the accident. The driver is described as a white man in his 30s. He suffered minor to moderate injuries, and Slippery Rock Ambulance transported him to Butler Memorial Hospital.
