Winter storm Gerri is blasting the nation's midsection with snow and near white-out conditions, causing dangerous travel conditions as it cuts across the country.
correspondent is live in manchester new hampshire with more. 90% the northeast is covered you can see we ve still got some coming down on us in new hampshire. but when you look at what the storm did almost every ei new england state aside from rhode island got more than a foot of snow inserted parts of pennsylvania, new york, and new jersey and massachusetts tonight nearly 20000 people are without power because of the wet heavy snow weighing down power lines there they ve that got more tha0 pieces of equipment clearing snow insulting roads across the state here in new hampshire the state department of transportation says there are at least 300 trucks out plowing right now the roads are slick state police responded to more than 130 weather related calls a lot of those ended up being cars is spinning out off of slippery roads. and for people walking on side locsidewalks things are not much better. people aren t putting salt
