After ShopRite announced it would be closing its Capital Region locations in December, rumors started swirling about which food retailer, if any, will be taking its place.
Indeed, an overly competitive marketplace and insufficient sales were cited last week in the decision to close the ShopRite stores in Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna, North Greenbush and Slingerlands in early December.
