The official dedication of the County Sligo Great War Memorial Garden at Cleveragh Regional Park will take place on Friday, 28th April. The ceremony, which will commence at 12pm, will include a keynote address by former RTE Northern Ireland Editor and author Tommie Gorman, as well as musical pieces and poems. On behalf of all present, a single laurel wreath will be laid at the entrance to the Memorial Garden by Mr. Gorman after which a moment of silence will be held in remembrance of the more than 600 individuals whose names are engraved upon eight standing stone panels.
