we re pretty sure this next story fits the bill. an intruder breaking into a home and standing inches from a baby sleeping in a crib. abc s ryan owens has the story and tips on how to keep your home an your family safe. reporter: it is every parents worst nightmare and these parents caught it on their surveillance camera. a burglar creeping around their baby s room while they slept. watch again as the intruder flashes the light right at the child before he moves on. when the parents saw the video and saw the burglar in that close proximity to their sleeping infant, they obviously reacted with sheer terror. it happened outside houston earlier this month. the sheriff s department released the video hoping to find the burglar. they think he s young, between 16 and 18. detectives say the homeowners and their baby slept through the whole thing. in fact, the victims didn t know they had been ripped off until neighbors found a laptop and briefcase in their front yard the next morning
