Sign Up A growing number of investors are getting behind community projects as they look for positive ventures to support during the pandemic. Businesses including hydro schemes, housing projects, a community railway and a brewery are being assisted by money raised through community shares. Community Shares Scotland, set up in 2014 with funding from the Scottish Government and the National Lottery, has experienced its busiest ever period over the last year. Eight share offers were launched during 2020 and another eight are in development.
