Captain Troy McLin of the Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office announced Friday afternoon that the body of Dr. Robert Supinski has been recovered from Lake Cumberland.
McLin said that the 66-year-old Supinski was found around 2:30 p.m. The body was recovered by Somerset-Pulaski County Rescue Squad divers after being located by sonar.
McLin said the body has been turned over to the Pulaski County Coronerâs Office.
Coroner Clyde Strunk confirmed that Supinskiâs body was recovered from an area that was around 80-foot deep.
The body will be taken to the State Medical Examinerâs Office in Louisville to determine a cause of death, Strunk said.

Supinski apparently fell Wednesday afternoon over a 100-foot bluff while using a zero-turn mower on his property.
The search was being conducted in the Slate Branch area of Lake Cumberland. Along with the Rescue Squad, McLin said that an organization specializing in water location, Bruceâs Legacy, assisted in the search, as did the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Crews will continue to search Lake Cumberland through the evening for a missing man who reportedly fell off of a bluff while mowing his lawn, according to Captain Troy McLin of the Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office
McLin said Thursday afternoon that the plan was to continue searching until dark, then start again in the morning if nothing was found tonight.
Divers, continue to search for Dr. Robert S. Supinski, 66, within an area of Lake Cumberland.

Crews continue to search Lake Cumberland today for a missing man who reportedly fell off of a bluff while mowing his lawn.
Captain Troy McLin with the Pulaski County Sheriffâs Office said that rescuers, including divers, continue to search for Dr. Robert S. Supinski, 66, within an area of Lake Cumberland.
McLin said the area they are searching is ânot largeâ but they are searching along the lakeâs current.
McLin said that crews stopped searching around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and started again this morning.
