The Milford Daily News FRANKLIN After the coronavirus pandemic halted Franklin s Fourth of July celebration last year, a little or even a  lot of rain wasn t going to wash out its first Franklin Blues Festival. Despite the downpour on Saturday, the new blues festival went off with a bang during the town’s annual Fourth of July celebration held at the Town Common. Dozens wearing raincoats and ponchos continued to enjoy carnival rides as a few stood under trees or umbrellas to listen to the musical lineup. Franklin s Fourth of July celebration is a five-day affair, with organizers adding a music festival this year.
