Sky Sagassige was the victim of a fatal hit and run in the early morning hours of June 12. Manitoulin OPP is still investigating the collision and asking for the public s help with eyewitness accounts and dash cam or video surveillance of the surrounding area around the time of the collision.
The northwest corner of the Spanish River bridge has become a site to pay tribute to 18-year-old Sky Sagassige of Webbwood, who was walking along Highway 6 just north of the bridge when he was struck and killed nearly two weeks ago. Many items have been left in memory of the teen, including flowers, solar lanterns and pictures.
