And as for Parker, Whyte says he just doesn’t think Parker is the same fighter since they met in 2018, questioning his desire at this stage of his career.
“Parker since he fought me, he hasn’t been the same, and he hasn’t fought any top guys. But he still talks, ‘I want the rematch, I want this and that.’ He’s a young guy, he’s tough, he can take a punch, but it seems like he hasn’t got so much drive any more.”
Bringing the topic back to Chisora, Whyte goes on to emphasize that Chisora has the potential to be a problem for any fighter when he’s locked-in but that he also gives Parker a decent chance to win on points. To that end Whyte says he sees this fight either ending by a Chisora knockout or a Parker decision assuming Parker can avoid a fight ending punch.

It’s been 19 months since light heavyweight titleholder Dmirty Bivol last fought. Of course that’s not the way Bivol would’ve preferred things he would’ve much rather kept active during this time but he’s also well aware of the circumstances that have kept him out of the ring and tells RingTV that he believes it’s important for him to keep his composure.
Bivol will be back in action this weekend in Manchester, where he’s scheduled to face Craig Richards, and while Bivol credits Richards with being a good fighter that he’ll have to come prepared for, he’s still looking for bigger fish to fry, mentioning the winner of a prospective Joe Smith Jr-Artur Beterbiev fight.

As British lightweight Natasha Jonas gets set to take on Katie Taylor in a May 1 title fight, Jonas and her trainer Joe Gallagher tell Sky Sports that they’re not intimidated by Taylor’s reputation. In fact, Gallagher points out that Taylor has shown that she can be hurt in fights and that leaves an opening for Jonas to get in there and do the business. Jonas herself is also taking confidence in the chinks in Taylor’s armor, as evidenced by he past fights against Delfine Persoon.
“I know that I’m not boxing the aura that is, the legacy that is, the legend that is Katie Taylor, I’m just boxing another human. Everyone’s got weaknesses, everyone’s human, and I will be trying to capitalise on them and put my best foot forward. Everyone mentions the Persoon fights but styles make fights and I’m not Persoon, but what I do think Persoon did was make her look human.”
