The International Energy Agency says that it expects the use of renewables to support global hydrogen production to surge over the next five years. The Netherlands and Denmark, meanwhile, have revealed plans to expand electrolysis capacity.
COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Renewable energy firm Orsted on Tuesday said it intends to invest in a large-scale facility in Denmark to produce green hydroge.
Danish energy company and also offshore wind major Ørsted A/S (CPH: ORSTED) as well as compatriot renewables programmer Skovgaard Energy will certainly partner to develop a Power-to-X center in Denmark that could reach more than 3 GW of electrolysis capacity, possibly becoming one of the largest in Europe.
