Milwaukee s Dead Bird Brewing teamed up with the local nonprofit TRUE Skool Inc. to create a new sparkling soft drink that will benefit the organization.
About a year ago, Dead Bird Brewing reached out to TRUE Skool to figure out a way to support the group. Since 2004, TRUE Skool has guided Milwaukee youth through hip-hop-oriented arts education and mentorship. One of the things I knew I wanted to do with our company was be involved in our community, do community outreach and fundraising, said Nick Kocis, Dead Bird Brewing s owner and brewmaster. Being new to Milwaukee myself, I kind of relied on my staff to help point me in the right direction.
