WOMEN FIRST TIME LISTED AS JURORS IN MONTG. COURTS â Two of the cases called were deemed unfit for the gentle ears to listen to, and the jurors were excused by agreement of counsel . The Court House is all dolled up for the advent of the fair ones. The jury rooms had been renovated, new rugs laid on the floor, and the signs against smoking stand out prominently. In one juryroom, a dozen jurymen sat under the sign and smoked contentedly. There were no women around, so the violation was null and void.
