WORCESTER The Massachusetts Independent Film Festival which has shown new independent features, shorts, documentaries and acclaimed foreign films annually since 2011 in the Boston area will be held at the BrickBox Theater at the JMAC, 20 Franklin St,, next year from April 13-16.
The well-regarded festival was virtual last year, but has been held in Somerville, Cambridge, and most recently at the Regent Theater in Arlington. The event usually features more than 30 movies (full length and short subject), panel discussions and prizes.
The move comes as the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival has partnered with the Shawna Shea Film Festival, run by Skip Shea, an Uxbridge-based filmmaker, writer, director and producer.
