lieutenant governor elect. um, it it reminds me of when thurgood marshal was asked about clarence thomas replacing him. and it was one of the more powerful moments that thurgood marshall had and he was talking about someone who was black and of color replacing him. and he says that it doesn t matter in paraphrasing, of course, it doesn t matter if that person is of color if they don t reflect and promote the values that would help move his people along. and so, i i m very happy she ran an amazing campaign. she won. um, and i know that here we go and i am going to get in trouble for this but it reminds me of nina simone and many others who stated that, you know, all all skin folk ain t your kinfolk. and there is a a huge, huge gulf between what the lieutenant governor elect stands for and
going to traud out a lin patten. these kinds of stereo typical things that they think that s what black america is to prove they it don t have racial biases, it s ugnerrant. and the reaction to it shows that. doesn t have any racial consciousness. that s not a republican problem. no, it s not, actually. we started out talking about ralph northam and tied up referring to the state delegate from maryland. and i think it s not a partisan issue. you re right. this country has a very large blind spot when it comes to issues of ros. there aren t toomany black people that there quote unquote disappointed. we understand that all kin folk ain t your kin folk.
