Mace has named Robert Fields as its new regional director for Australia and New Zealand.
Fields (pictured) joins from consultant RPS, where he has worked for three years, most recently as the executive general manager for commercial and delivery for Australia and the Asia Pacific.
He will succeed Jeremy Oakes, who spent nearly 13 years with Mace and will stay with the company in the capacity of a consultant.
During his stint at RPS Fields was seconded to act as the commercial director for Sydney Metro - one of the biggest infrastructure projects in Australia/
Prior to RPS, he held various senior appointments as a leader within HKA’s advisory business, and worked in the UK as Skanska Cementation’s section manager for the Stratford box on the Channel Tunnel project.

Completing 16 months in the role made him one of the longest serving construction ministers of recent times until he relinquished the role in late November; and with appearances at many online events, including the CN Summit this year, he was certainly one of the most visible.
But his post-construction minister role puts the Stratford-on-Avon MP in an even more important position for the industry. As minister for vaccines, Zahawi will play a central role in helping the country get back to a position of normality and for everyone to live their lives safely. His new role appears to be partly about ensuring confidence in the vaccination programme – something that will determine how 2021 pans out
