PHUKET: There has been a noticeable increase in the use of drugs, including methamphetamine (ya bah), crystal meth (ya ice) and heroin, across Phuket, especially among labourers on the island.

Islamabad: A crackdown against anti-social elements is underway in the capital and 23 outlaws were arrested with huge recovery of drugs, weapons during last four days, the police spokesman said.
According to details, Tarnol Police arrested four accused involved in theft and drug peddling activities and recovered an excavator 240 gram Ice, 130 gram hashish and 30 pills of Ecstasy. They were identified as Tufail, Mehtab, Bilal and Nasir. Women police arrested a lady accused and recovered 10 bottles of liquor from her while Sihala Police recovered a 12 bore gun from an accused Farrukh Naz. Likewise, Koral Police recovered one 30 bore pistol from accused Atif and Abpara Police recovered two 9mm pistols along with ammunition from an accused Waqar during snap-checking. Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested 14 outlaws including two members of dacoits’ gang and recovered snatched motorbike, narcotics, kites and weapons from their possession, police spokesman said.
According to details, SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer had directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP (Industrial- Area) Liaquat Hayat Niazi constituted special team under supervision of SHO Shams Colony police station, Sub-inspector- Aamir Abbas along with other officials which successfully arrested two wanted members of dacoit gang Identified as Ehsan-Ullah and Najeeb-Ullah and recovered snatched motorbike and weapons used in crime. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway from them.

Islamabad : Islamabad Police arrested 14 criminals from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, wine, valuables and weapons from their possession, the police spokesman said.
Kohsar Police arrested accused, Mubashar and recovered 580 gram heroin from him. Bhara Kahu Police arrested two accused, Ejaz and Abrar and recovered stolen valuables from their possession. Karachi Company Police arrested accused, Muhammad Taqi, and recovered five wine bottles from him.
Tarnol Police arrested two accused, Zeshan and Khalid Mehmood and recovered two pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Ramna Police arrested accused Irfan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Noon Police arrested accused, Humayun and recovered five pistols along with ammunition from him.
