Sjef Janssen Undergoes Heart Surgery Sun, 01/17/2021 - 10:26 The Netherlands Dutch dressage trainer Sjef Janssen underwent heart surgery at the Maxima Medical Centre in Veldhoven, The Netherlands, and will need six weeks to recover. This week it went wrong with his heart, Anky posted on her social media. Thanks to the efficient action of a team of cardiologists at the Maxima Medical Centre in Veldhoven it all turned out fine. He has been supplied with a pacemaker. Now he ll need to take it easy for six weeks and then can go full throttle again. On Friday 15 January 2021, Janssen celebrated his 71st birthday. A day later he underwent surgery.

Isabel Cool Retires Grand Prix Horse Constand, Moving on with Full Barn Fri, 01/08/2021 - 18:07 Belgium Belgian Grand Prix team rider Isabel Cool has retired her number two GP ride, Constand, from competition sport. The liver chestnut sustained a career ending injury in 2020. Constand is a 14-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Vic out of Nola M (by Jetset-D). He is bred by Aart de Jong in Wouwse Plantage, The Netherlands.  He was initially accepted for the third phase at the 2010 KWPN Stallion licensing but ended up with a career in sport. From Verden to Grand Prix Cool discovered the liver chestnut as a youngster and first began competing him at national level in 2011. They won silver at the 2011 Belgian Young Horse Championships.
