Human trafficking and rape-accused televangelist Timothy Omotoso, who was declared a prohibited person in South African, wants that status to be reviewed and set aside.
Omotoso s legal representative Sizwe Maci confirmed to News24 that the review application was lodged with Minister of Home Affairs Aaron Motsoaledi.
Omotoso, who is currently at a correctional centre in Port Elizabeth as an awaiting trial detainee, wants the minister to set aside the decision of then acting director-general J W McKay, which was taken last September.
