Photo: GoLocal File Providence Police and the Rhode Island Attorney General s Office announced Friday that four individuals were arraigned Thursday on multiple felony charges in Sixth Division District Court, following a joint investigation into drug trafficking and illegal firearms in the greater Providence area. Jose Martinez and Antonio Vazquez face multiple felony counts, including possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana; possession with intent to deliver between one ounce and one kilogram of fentanyl; conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act; possession of a ghost gun; alteration of identifying marks on a firearm; and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

4/19/2021 Police arrest woman in fatal hit-and-run WOONSOCKET – Woonsocket Police have arrested a woman charged with leaving the scene of an accident in a fatal hit-and-run last week. According to police, Kristie Gore, 30, was driving a Hyundai north on Harris Avenue last Friday, April 16, at about 4 p.m. when she turned left in front of an oncoming vehicle. The two vehicles collided, and the oncoming vehicle, a Toyota, veered across the center line into an oncoming Ford F-350 truck. Both of the elderly occupants of the Toyota suffered serious injuries and were transferred to Rhode Island Hospital. Irene Gaulin, 72, later succumbed to her injuries, while her husband, 81-year-old Louis Gaulin, remains in stable condition.

Neronha. Richard Gordon, 71, was found guilty of one count each of simple assault and disorderly conduct at his court hearing in Sixth Division District Court on Wednesday. The charges stem from a fight that took place in Barrington on August 3, 2020, when prosecutors say Gordon assaulted his neighbor after the neighbor replaced a surveyor s stake in Gordon s front yard. Part of the incident was captured on a cell phone video and shared on social media.
