SUSPICIOUS Report at 2:54 p.m. Sunday of a male hanging around all day at Cub Foods, 14113 Edgewood Drive, and making staff feel uncomfortable. Officer made contact and the male was homeless. The officer helped him arrange emergency shelter through The Salvation Army.

According to our news partners at The Decatur Daily, some area retailers are selling out of spirits, extending business hours and hiring more workers to accommodate customer demand. “We’ve seen about a 30% increase in sales of tequila, whiskey and vodka since March,” said Kevin Penn, owner of Star Spirits on Sixth Avenue Northeast in Decatur. “It’s been pretty broad across the board in those liquors.”
