Whitman School of Management hosted Tuesday. The university’s chapter of the TAMID Group and the SU Investment Club hosted the panelists, who spoke about how to be successful as a woman in the finance industry. Two Whitman students, Mary-Katheryn Egger and Andrew Hollander, moderated the panel.  Women are less likely to pursue careers in finance because of how the jobs are marketed, said Molly Smith, a 2016 graduate of Whitman and the Newhouse School of Public Communications.

The recipients and the languages they will study are: Courtney Blankenship, a first-year master’s degree student in international relations in the Maxwell School also pursuing certificates of advanced study in security studies and Middle Eastern affairs, studying Arabic; Jenna Burgess ’21, a senior international relations major in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Maxwell School and a minor in linguistics in A&S, studying Korean; Sarah Forland G’21, a dual degree public diplomacy graduate student in international relations in the Maxwell School and public relations in the Newhouse School, studying Portuguese; Jeremy Gonzalez, a first-year graduate student pursuing a joint master’s degree in public administration and international relations in the Maxwell School, studying Bahasa Indonesian;

The Forbes 30 Under 30 lists are released annually to highlight up-and-coming individuals in industries such as music, gaming and marketing. The SU alumni included in the 2021 lists, which Forbes released in December, recently spoke with The Daily Orange about how they got to where they are now.
