Well-known international auctioning house Christies in France has halted the sale of a 500 year-old Nataraj idol, stolen from a Tamil Nadu temple in 1972, after the state police flagged the issue. Hyderabad, March 12 : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Friday that after the completion of the ongoing renovation works, the Sri Yadadri Laxmi Narasimha temple will show its exclusivity among all the temples in the world.
He said the entire Yadadri temple renovated with Krishna Sila (black stone) is going to become known for its uniqueness. After the reopening, devotees in lakhs would visit the temple. Measures should be taken in such a way that these devotees do not face any difficulties during their holy visit, he told the officials at a meeting to review the temple renovation works.

Colombo (News 1st); Ukrainian tourists in Sri Lanka, as part of the Government’s pilot project to open the country’s airports for tourism, will be visiting several historical sites on Monday (04) & Tuesday (05), announced the Central Cultural Fund.
The tour group will visit the following sites in the Polonnaruwa Tourist Project controlled by the Central Cultural Fund and the sites will be close for locals from 01:00 PM on Monday.
