Authorities have arrested a father and son and seized P6.8 million worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Thursday, February 22, 2024.

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Operatives of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) arrested three alleged drug personalities and seized from them about P1.8-million worth of shabu in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Talon-Talon here on Sunday, January 24.

Zamboanga Peninsula Police (PRO-9) Director Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Genaro E. Ylagan said on Tuesday, January 26, the buy-bust operation was led by P/Maj. Jamar G Tagayan after they received information that the sale of shabu in Sitio Logoy Grande, Barangay Talon-Talon was rampant.
Ylagan identified the three alleged drug dealers as Benhar Hamidol, 27: Basar Sampang, 55; and Marvin Ramirez Y De Guzman, 35. They were all from Barangay Mampang in this city.
