AS MOST people were about to sleep on Saturday night, Jan. 6, 2024, two separate fires broke out in Barangays Carreta and Basak Pardo in Cebu City, damaging P9.75 million worth of properties and forcing 1,000 individuals to flee their homes.
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama has proposed a reblocking in response to the fire incidents that broke out in two barangays in Cebu City Basak Pardo and Carreta on Saturday night, January 6, 2024.
Two separate fire incidents in Barangays Carreta and Basak Pardo, Cebu City on Saturday night caused P9.75M in damages, displacing nearly 1,000 individuals. The fires, which destroyed a total of 161 houses, were brought under control by firefighters, with fortunately no casualties reported. The cause of the fires is under investigation.
