with clear skies in the north. in the west, blustery conditions. in edinburgh, two degrees. in cardiff, already 8 degrees. as we go through the next days it will be wet but it will turn mild, especially from tomorrow when we could have a high of 16 and on thursday, 17 degrees, above average temperatures. we have cloud and all this rain, some of it heavy, pushing north and eastwards. some hill snow on the southern uplands and south islands before milder bushes in and that turns back to rain. behind the rain, cloud, fog, drizzle. it should brighten up in northern ireland, parts of wales and south west england. we will see late sunshine here. but that could spark showers that could be heavy and thundery. a blustery day
winds which could affect the far north, the highlands and in towards the northern isles. certainly during the early hours of wednesday, spell of severe gales here, up to 80 mile an hour gusts. areas of wet weather as well pushing in from the west. a bit of snow on the hill. so quite an unsettled, stormy night to come across the far north of the country tuesday night. furthersouth, it ll be a lot quieter. and the reason it s quieter towards the south, always closer to this area of high pressure. now, as we head into wednesday, we ll have low pressure moving away into the norwegian sea, taking a strong winds with it from northeast scotland. this weather front will bring some showery rain to northern ireland, south west scotland in towards northern england. but there will be a lot of dry weather again towards the south where it ll be mild. further north, a coolerfeel blustery with sunshine and showers. as we move into thursday, again, there s another weather front that could bring outbrea
