Here is Mr Rose s story about his childhood in Little Bredy. Ninety-three years ago, on the twelfth of March this year I was born (2-3-28) in a pleasant hamlet called Little Bredy in Dorset, where my father was the estate carpenter for Sir Robert Williams of ‘Bridehead House’. As the last of a large family of brothers and sisters, the happiness of the early years has never left me, and I am sure they never will.
