The Former Director of Special Forces has warned that the Overseas Operations Bill “fails to protect troops”, as he said it “does nothing to address repeat investigations”.
Lt Gen Sir Graeme Lamb said the Bill, which will be debated in the Lords on Thursday, was right to “change the law to protect our troops”, from what he said was an approach which “seeks to disarm them in a court of law”, but cautioned that “good intentions are not enough”.
