THE National Arts Council (NAC) approached the Joburg High Court with the intention to evict Sibongile Mngoma and other artists from their offices.
According to a notice of motion, which Daily Sun has seen, the application was made on Tuesday, 23 March and Sibongile was given three days to show her intention to oppose the NAC’s application.
She was also given seven days to file an answering affidavit.
“Pending the finalisation of any and all disputes pertaining to the implementation of the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme, the respondents be directed and interdicted to immediately upon service of this order to exit and vacate the premises and offices of the applicant,” read the notice, in part.
