Dawley Farms was a cornfield 20 years ago.
A couple thousand cars drove down Powder House Road a day, barely giving it a second glance on their way to the newly built Wal-Mart and Menards in 2002.
The east-side Target didn t exist yet. The idea of an east-side movie theater was only a dream.
Now, Dawley Farms is a bustling retail center in eastern Sioux Falls with more than 10,000 driving through the area each day. Housing developments are popping up all around the area, and there is soon to be more offices and mixed-retail developed right down the road.
Lloyd Companies developed Dawley Farms during the past 15 years in anticipation of that growth.
