A COURT has backed the DVLA s decision to revoke the driving licence of a Weymouth motorist who drove ‘aggressively’. Jack Oliver Michael Reece tried to evade officers as he drove his black Volkswagen Golf in Chapelhay, and gave them the ‘middle finger’ on March 30 last year when they asked him to stop, Weymouth Magistrates Court heard. The 21-year-old, of Corporation Road, also admitted a second offence of driving without due care and attention while behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta with a passenger on November 5, 2019. He had been spotted by police driving down a no-entry road near Hope Square.
A food blogger who bombarded a woman he met through a dating app with 11 pages of abusive messages after she rejected him has avoided jail.
Dorset chef James Larby, 37, lased out at Rachel Neillings, 35, after she broke off their courtship, Poole Magistrates Court was told.
He had changed his Facebook status to in a relationship while they were in the early stages of dating, causing Ms Neillings to take a step back .
Unable to cope with the rejection, Larby lashed out at his victim in a string of vile messages, calling her fat and ugly and a piece of plastic silicone - a cruel reference to her having had breast implants, the court heard.

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering millionaire hotelier Sir Richard Sutton.
Thomas Schreiber, 34, appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court for a short hearing on Monday morning.
Charges allege that Schreiber, of Gillingham, Dorset, murdered Sir Richard and attempted to murder Anne Schreiber on April 7.
He is also accused of driving a Range Rover dangerously on the A303 and the M3 on the same date.
Schreiber, dressed in a grey sweatshirt, wearing a white face mask and with a bandage on his right arm, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
