Court considers prophylactic isolation for travellers from Brazil to be illegal
Sintra Court has accepted a request for immediate release ‘habeas corpus’ from a lawyer who the health authorities forced to stay in prophylactic isolation at home for 14 days when she returned from Brazil
A statement from the Bar Association states that the lawyer, her husband and a minor daughter entered Portugal from Brazil on May 2 and, despite having negative tests for SARS-CoV-2 and “having been allowed to enter in national territory without any restriction”, the health delegate in their area of residence imposed an isolation period of 14 days.
The lawyer refuted the order, through a request from ‘habeas corpus’ to challenge the resolution of the Council of Ministers 45-C / 2021, of 30 April, which was accepted by the Court of Sintra.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken stern notice of the traffic accident that took place in Islamabad Monday night and has sought complete details from the authorities.
The Prime Minister directed the Ministers to not use government resources unnecessarily in the name of security. He also sought a report on how much security do the ministers have.
He said that the Parliament is a representative forum of the whole nation, where every minister is accountable. If Democracy is to strengthen, the Parliament itself must be strengthened, he added.

Rugui Djaló, a Guinean citizen residing in Portugal, was sentenced on 8 January, at the Sintra Court, to a three-year prison term for the crime of genital mutilation of her daughter.
The presiding judge of the collective announced, that there is no doubt that the practices [in trial] integrate the crime of female genital mutilation and recalled that this practice is a flagrant violation of human rights .
The judge also highlighted the high illegality, she is a mother who attacks her own daughter , the premeditation of an organised trip to Guinea and the failure in the duties of care for the daughter.
