The Singin’ Axes and Kantorei choirs at Stephen F. Austin State University will present “Wide Open Spaces: A Concert of Living Composers” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.
Among the works to be performed are SFA alumnus Reginal Wright’s setting of a contemporary motet entitled “Hosanna,” along with Rupert Lang’s setting of “Cantate Domino” and a world premiere performance of David W. Brewer’s setting of “Ave Regina caelorum.”

The Singin’ Axes and Kantorei choirs at Stephen F. Austin State University will present the concert “O Magnum Mysterium” when the choral ensembles perform at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.
Conducted by Dr. Tod Fish, associate director of choral activities for the SFA School of Music, and Caroline Van Landingham, graduate student in choral conducting from Cypress, the ensembles will also perform John Rutter’s “Gloria,” Richard Felciano’s arrangement of “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel,” Joshua Himes’ setting of the “Ave Maria” text, and Hawley Ades arrangement of Leroy Anderson’s audience favorite “Sleigh Ride.”
