A foursome of local nonprofits is shacking up in Manchester.
The Boys and Girls Club, First Tee of Greater Richmond, Communities In Schools of Richmond, and Higher Achievement’s Richmond office are moving in together this summer into a shared 15,000-square-foot headquarters building at 100 Everett St.
The old warehouse building will be redeveloped to serve as administrative offices (dubbed “neighborhoods”) for each organization, and will also feature shared training and meeting spaces in a bid to create more cost-efficient and collaborative operations.

A row of aging office buildings in the Fan is set to be razed to make way for a new salon-anchored development.
Local developer and entrepreneur Andrew Flint is planning to replace four century-old structures in the 2600 block of West Cary Street with a mixed-use project that will include a storefront for Hive Salon Studios, a local chain he owns.
Flint bought the buildings at 2606, 2608, 2610 and 2612 W. Cary St. for $1.27 million in November 2020 and began looking into renovating them, rather than tearing them down.

After plans for a brewery fell through at the site of an old Brookland Park Boulevard carwash, one of the neighborhood’s biggest developers has brewed up something new of the mixed-use variety.
Cory Weiner’s CW Performance Group is planning two separate mixed-use projects at 310 and 322 W. Brookland Park Blvd.

The two buildings will add a total of 12 apartments and 7,000 square feet of commercial space to two surface lots on the combined one-quarter-acre site, which Weiner acquired for a total of $50,000 in 2018.
