In an effort to engage local youths to become future leaders, AIESEC in Malaysia introduces the inaugural Byte-sized Leadership Programme with strategic partners to connect young talents with thought leaders from different corporate sectors in the country.
This year the programme is introduced in collaboration with ADA, Maxis and UOB Malaysia with the aim to engage these youths on relevant topics about leadership in a light and fun manner.
This collaboration with ADA, Maxis and UOB Malaysia comes at a time when there is a growing gap between universities curriculum and the current realities in the industry. According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, the unemployment rate for youth aged 15-30 years old has risen to 8.7% in December 2020, higher than 4.8% of the national unemployment rate.
